Kiera Valverde

Kiera has a natural talent for singing and a dedication and drive for learning that has given her the ability to develop very quickly the skills required for singing. Her musicianship skills learned as a pianist and as a singer in high school and college choirs allow her to learn new music quickly and accurately. You will enjoy listening to the beautiful quality of her voice in her rendition of "Where Can I Turn for Peace" arranged by Marshall McDonald as sung in her Ward sacrament meeting.

Paige Borgholthaus from Her Mission in Czechoslovakia

Paige was my student from Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas, where she was active in their musical theatre program. She is now serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Czechoslovakia. I am so proud of her devotion and hard work toward improving her singing talent, and her willingness to share her God given talent with the Czech people! What a blessing you will receive as you listen to her rendition of "Highs and Lows" by Hillsong Worship!

Jessica Marcano

I sadly say farewell to my student for four delightful years. She has worked hard to develop a singing technique and acting skills that have earned her a Music Theatre scholarship at Southern Utah University.  Click the image below and enjoy her amazing performance of "Don't Rain on My Parade."

Nobuaki Irie

My Student Nobuaki Irie and three lovely ladies with lovely voices singing "There Are Angels Among Us" by Alabama. "Some years ago," Nobu recalls, "when I recorded the song, my producer wrote to Alabama and asked if we could record it in Japanese. They kindly responded and said, “Please do it!” In fact, they put up an article about me singing the song in Japanese in their fan-club newspaper. Houston, you WERE the angel sent by God when I needed help with singing. After being turned down by all the other voice teachers at BYU, it was your door that I knocked on last. Thank you so much for being the angel in my life!"

Felicia Ferarre

Felicia was a private student of mine for a short time at BYU. Although my impact on her extremely gifted talent was minimal, I hope that I had some influence on her amazingly free and unconstrained vocal ability and range. Whether I had any influence on her abilities or not, her singing is a perfect example of why breath flow is such an important part of my approach to teaching. Enjoy this song and the many others she has produced!
